Worth - Dora Duby, print by Edith Barakovich (1929)

Vintage silver gelatin print of a photograph by Viennese photographer Edith Barakovich depicting American actress Dora Duby wearing one of the dresses that the Worth fashion house created for her show presented in Paris at the Casino de Paris in 1929. Another image from the same session shows the actress holding three greyhounds on leashes.

The dress is thus described in the Spur magazine of May 1929: "The matched white dogs of this delightful singer and dancer and the Worth gown form a colorless symphony which immediately arrests the eye. The gown is all embroidery of pearls and brilliants to the waist and the tulle skirt is finished off with an unusually elaborate arrangement of ostrich feathers."
