Murer's Express Newness - Model T - Detective
Achromatic lens - with 9 plates, 9x12 format
This camera was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century because it allowed for the loading of several glass plates at the same time, thus avoiding the laborious task of reloading glass plates between each shot. This plate change was accomplished by a large spring that exerted pressure on the plates when the back door was closed. This particular model was produced in Milan, Italy, using walnut plywood and leather covering. The small lever on the front allowed for focusing, thanks to various lenses that filtered the achromatic lens with an iris diaphragm.
The presence of a lens cap is very rare on this model.
