The panoramic viewer monodioscope is an old optical device, which appeared at the end of the 19th century, which allowed the viewing of panoramic images.

The monodioscope was patented in 1890 by Jules Richard, a French engineer and manufacturer of scientific instruments.

Four 6x13 cm panoramic format glass plates are included with the viewer.
