The Tivoli waterfalls in Italy are a famous natural and historical site located near Rome. They are formed by the Aniene River, which flows through the town of Tivoli and creates a series of spectacular falls with a total drop of approximately 160 meters. These waterfalls have played a significant role in history and art since Roman times.
They have inspired many artists, painters and writers, particularly in the 18th and 19th centuries. Artists such as Hubert Robert, Corot, Turner and Caroline Berthod depicted this site, blending wild nature and ancient ruins, making it a symbol of the romantic Italian landscape.
Fratelli Alinari, founded in Florence in 1852 by Leopoldo Alinari, is one of the oldest photographic companies in the world. His brothers Giuseppe and Romualdo joined him in 1854 to create Fratelli Alinari Fotografi Editori, a photographic studio specializing in documenting Italian paintings, sculptures, architecture, and monuments.
