Pair of finely enhanced daguerreotypes of a couple in their oval leather Union Case.
The Union cases in black leather are stamped "Mson B Breveté SGDG" identifying the work of Jean-Baptiste MALCHAUSSE dit BERUBET (1804-1887).
Jean-Baptiste BERUBET was a photographer and optician working in Clermont-Ferrand in the years 1850-1855. Several of his works are preserved in the photothèque du Puy-de-Dôme as well as in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
