Vintage albumen print, signed, with the author's blind stamp (circa 1889)
- Photo format 29 x 40 cm
- Under a 40x50cm passe-partout
This is a group portrait with, in the center, the photographer Terpereau, founder of documentary photography in the Gironde region, at the foot of a pillar of the Eiffel Tower, and to his left, with his arm around his shoulder, possibly the mayor of Bordeaux (Mr. Baysselance), with whom Terpereau was very close; both were founding members of the French Alpine Club, Southwest section. This photograph was probably taken at the 1889 Universal Exhibition, where Terpereau received a gold medal for his work on the monuments.
